This is Shamcey Supsup's evening gown (left) and national costume (right) which will be worn on the Miss Universe Coronation Night this September 12 at São Paulo, Brazil. Both Shamcey's national costume and evening gown were designed by Rajo Laurel, one of Philippines' top fashion designers.

In other news, the Miss Universe Organization has announced that for the first time in the history of the MISS UNIVERSE competition, the pageant is incorporating a global fan vote that may automatically advance a contestant to the semifinals.

The Philippines is a powerhouse when it comes to online voting but lately, we are getting beaten by Thailand and Vietnam in this thing. So if we can only unite once more and spread the word, we may have another Miss Universe semifinalist this year.
